During our second week, you’ll learn how to use research to quickly get customer insights that can be used to inform your content strategy and copy. You’ll learn which research methodologies to focus on, which questions to ask, and how to put the information into a clear and concise format.

Homework: Conduct research and input the findings into your Website Brief template

Week 3 - Developing a clear and conversion-optimized Information Architecture

During our third week, you’ll learn how to translate your customer insights into a clear and effective information architecture. An information architecture is like a blueprint for your website and includes the navigation, names and number of pages, content hierarchy, UX, and more.

Homework: Create your own information architecture using the provided process, tools, and templates
Takeaway: A clear layout of your website that you can use internally or pass to a designer, UX person, developer, or client

Week 4 - Fill out 1 page of your new website with clear and persuasive copy

During our final week, you’ll learn the fundamentals of writing clear, effective, and persuasive website copy. The goal of this final week is to have you write one draft of conversion-focused copy for whichever page you’d like to focus on.
